Made with your skin in mind.
Your story, written in ink.

I’m Bri, the artist behind Skin Poet Tattoos. I specialize in custom black & gray and illustrative work designed for the person wearing it—not pulled from a catalog.
Bring me your story, your weird idea, your half-formed concept, or the thing you can see perfectly in your head but can’t quite explain. We’ll turn it into something that works on your body and still feels like you.

Every good tattoo starts with a conversation.
Tell me what’s rattling around in your head—the story, the feeling, the imagery, or even just the pieces you know you want included. Reference photos are welcome, but they’re a starting point, not something I’ll copy.
From there, I’ll turn your ideas into an original design made to work with your body, placement, and the way the tattoo needs to flow. We’ll fine-tune the details together before anything ever touches your skin.
Once we’ve landed on the direction, your deposit locks in your appointment and we’re officially putting your story on the books.
GOOD TATTOOS START WITH GOOD SKIN.
In the days leading up to your appointment, drink plenty of water, get decent sleep and keep your skin moisturized. Gently exfoliate the area ahead of time - not the morning of your appointment - and avoid anything that leaves your skin irritated, sunburned or damaged.
I’ll reach out to make sure you’re prepared and still planning to come in on your appointment day.
Healthy, hydrated, well-prepared skin is easier to tattoo and generally gives us the best chance at smooth healing and solid ink retention.
Better healing can mean fewer areas needing touched up, which is better for your skin, your calendar and your wallet!
This is where your idea gets some SKIN in the game.
Arrive on time and bring your ID as well as a drink, headphones and or a book.
When you arrive, we’ll handle paperwork, sizing and placement, and get your stencil on. I’ll generally have a few sizes ready to try out if we didn’t handle this aspect in an in person consultation.
Once the stencil dries, it’s GO TIME!
Breaks are always okay, and numbing spray is available after linework is completed when the tattoo allows for it.
When we finish, I’ll let you admire your new open wound, then wrap you up. Second skin and traditional bandages are available, with instructions for which ever we use available to take home.
Please reach us at tatu86bri@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
My pricing is based on the size, style, placement and details. Once i know what we’re creating, and where it’s going I can give you a much better idea of what to expect.
I accept Cashapp, Zelle and ApplePay, as well as credit cards, all carrying a 5% processing fee.
Cash is accepted in person and encouraged!!
A $40 deposit secures your appointment and comes off the final price of the session.
As a real, human artist, sometimes it takes me a few iterations to get the design perfect. please provide me with contact information you check regularly as I will send you the ideas as I work through them, fully collaborating with you on the design process. (Keeping in mind my artistic style and wheelhouse.)
Yes, and you can be nicer to yourself about it!!
I don’t keep numbing cream on hand, but I can provide you with a link to the brand of cream ill allow in my chair.
*Certain brands are too aggressive on your skin and are counterproductive to allowing ink into the canvas.*
Absolutely! Unfortunately, minors are not allowed to hang out in the booth, so your support buddy has to be over 18, but they get the comfy chair while you get to try not to squirm in mine!
I understand that life happens, and as long as you reach out 24 hours before your appointment, i will transfer your deposit to the reschedule date.
Deposits are non-refundable, so a cancellation will result in forfiet of that deposit.
Free touch ups for the first 2 years, then a set up fee is required.
Areas prone to faster fading may not qualify for complimentary touch ups, this will be discussed with you prior to your appointment.
Someone else drew and designed that image. It is an excellent starting point, tell me what you love about it, and I’ll try to keep it as authentic as possible.
I can’t justify stealing someone else’s work though. I’ve gotta make it mine, and YOURS.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
